I am a retiree, Mr J Thompson, who is concerned about the extremely high cost of housing in Australia. I believe there has to be taxation reform to remove and/or substantially reduce the subsidies provided to property investors/speculators in the form of capital gains tax concessions and tax write-off of interest and other costs. Other areas affecting the current housing crisis include the presence of home short-term rentals and also high rates of immigration into Australia. I am endeavouring to obtain 1500 members so that a political party can be formed to contest the 2025 federal election with a platform to substantially reduce these tax concessions and to put the money into public housing.
IT COSTS NOTHING TO JOIN and a web page has been created where you can provide your details and join up. |

I believe that the current housing crisis has its origins in inaction by all major political parties which has led Australia turning into a divided society, rich/wealthy investor/speculators vs renters and homeless.

1500 members required....

... in time to contest the 2025 federal election

If we can collect 1500 members a new party to contest the 2025 federal election can be formed. Refer to the membership page on this website. Membership costs nothing. All I need is for you to sign up on the membership page(https://www.housingforallaustralians.org/membership.html).
If we can gather the 1500 members a political party can be registered for the 2025 Australian Federal election and a campaign started to contest a number of seats in the election. If you would like to know more please contact me at admin@housingforallaustralians.org |
The ultimate goal is to substantially reduce current tax concessions to the housing investors/speculators to save billions that can be diverted into public housing and bring sanity back into the housing market. This is something that all political parties in Australia are not addressing.
